Turning Breech Twins

I’ve started doing research on turning the babies for two reasons. First- because it would be nice to avoid a cesarean if possible and second - just because I love to research and learn new things.

The first and most highly recommended method was accupuncture. They have great success in relieving various pregnancy discomforts as well as in turning breech babies to the head down position. Unfortunately online there seems to be a general concensus not to use accupunture with twins. There seems to be concerns about the high risk of preterm labor and not wanting to cause possible complications.  I’ll have to make some calls to find out if that’s true.
However, I have found online references to the chiropractic method, the “Webster Technique” working on twins. Here is a good explaination of the method and how it works: http://www.icpa4kids.com/about/webster_technique.htm. I had already been thinking about going to a chiropractor to help make things more comfortable in general at this point with all the aches and pains in the back and pelvis. Dusty’s checking with the insurance company for me because we think it may be covered, which would be oh so nice.

And then there is just good old fashioned prayer. I keep loving on the babies and talking gently to them while praying that they will be in the best position for us all. I am really ok with whatever method is necesary to bring these little ones into the world. But if there are options, why not try them and see what happens?
