success

I hired my replacement for work today and he starts next Wednesday.  This takes a big load off my shoulders.  I’ve been so busy this week I’ve gone two days now without eating lunch and I’m not drinking as much as I should be.   And the past few weeks have been very similar; definitely not good for the babies.  I plan for my last day to be September 30th.

Tomorrow I’m heading to California with Brad to visit with his family and enjoy Sea World.  I am looking forward to time with good people and a chance to see Shamu.  I dreamed at the beginning of the pregnancy that I was told by two people that I would “give birth to twins like orcas”.  So seeing Orcas 22 weeks into the pregnancy will be neat.

I’ve noticed that the baby on the right (Forest?) wakes up as soon as the alarm goes off in the morning.  What’s interesting is that I get up several times during the night and have even been having trouble going back to sleep at around the 4 AM wake up.  He doesn’t move enough for me to notice at that point but once that alarm goes off he’s just like the cats and all kinds of ansy.  By early - mid afternoon there is so much movement that I think it may be shared space below my belly button.  It’s so hard it’s almost painful in a strange and unique way.

My uterus is really tight right now and I think I may actually be experiencing my first contractions.  Going to rest here at the office for a bit and then head home and lay down.
