evening yoga class
Since I’m new to yoga I have been urged to try different teachers to be exposed to different styles and people. After reading that one of the teachers also has twins (and is also named Dawn) I figured that’s a good addition to my Sunday class with Linda. Doing yoga at 6 PM on a […]
17 weeks development
Your baby during week 17 is now very mobile, gleefully moving his joints here, there and everywhere and will continue to do so as you continue your pregnancy week by week. The cartilage making up the skeleton in your baby’s body is starting to transform into bone. At pregnancy 17 weeks time your baby should […]
more name ideas
If it’s a boy and a girl we are covered…Forest Manning & Zoe Rei
But what if it’s two girls or two boys (although I still feel strongly there is atleast one girl in there)?
Some ideas for girls:
Keita (Forest - Celtic)
Seda (Forest Voices - Armenian)
Ilana (Great Tree - Hebrew)
Ayla (The Oak Tree - Hebrew)
17 weeks
I had a very good weekend. Was up early on Saturday for a trip to the Austin Zoo with Wendy, Avery, Brad, Alissa and Zonk. The Austin Zoo is actually a non-profit rescue ranch that has an amazing collection of animals with some cool rescue stories. It was fun seeing Avery get […]
16 weeks OB appointment
Saw the twins again today :)
They have grown so much since the visit a month ago! I’ve put on 5 lbs (up to 150 now) and my blood pressure was good.
I asked for pictures and she obliged me but they aren’t good. Basically her machine isn’t able to put them on the screen […]
Stress in pregnancy
I try and read New Scientist every day. They usually only have about 5 or 6 new articles and it’s always the latest and greatest in every kind of science. This morning they had information about a recent study related to stress in pregnancy. Very interesting.

prenatal yoga class, food and weight
I had my first prenatal yoga class yesterday and really enjoyed it. It was neat to be in a room full of other pregnant women (from 6 weeks to due that day!) going through the various poses. I’m glad that I’ve spent the past couple of weeks learning the basics already because I […]
nursery theme
Crystal sent the cutest lil onesies along with adorable socks and hats for the twins. Many thanks for her kind gifts.
My desire to have a bunny themed room is more difficult then I thought. I had always wanted Peter Rabbit however they discontinued the cute blue set and are now doing one in […]
fraternal or identical and what exactly does that mean
Since it’s been visable from the very beginning that my babies are diamniotic (each in their own amniotic sac), combined with my age, the feeling among the doctors is that I am probably having fraternal twins. If I find out I’m having a boy and a girl then that will be confirmed before […]
week 16 development
Growth continues, but no new structures form after this point.
Eyes are at final destination and face forward rather than to the sides and reflexes, such as blinking, develop. Ears move to final position and stand out from head. It can move its eyes (though there’s not a lot to see in there).
Meconium begins to […]
