triumphant
One of my coworkers, one of the doctors who has adult children, just stopped me in the hall to say the sweetest things.
He started off saying that I look like someone who is happy to be pregnant. That I have a triumphant look like “we pulled this one off.” When I told him that I really enjoy being pregnant and we definitely pulled it off in a BIG way with twins he chuckled and said “well you are a joy to watch.”
One of my favorite people in the office who always has a smile and gentle word walked in with me this morning and inquired about how the baby was doing. When I told him it was twins he said “I’ll have to say two prayers each day for you then.” It was really so kind of him.
I may not find my job the best situation available but these are the moments when I appreciate my instincts about the kind of people who work here.
