gender? and delivery plans
Three weeks from now we’ll know the gender of the babies! I’m excited for this milestone.
Dusty has always told me over the years that he wouldn’t be able to be in the delivery room when we have children because he doesn’t do well in hospitals and such. He’s a strong man with a squeemish stomach. I had originally thought when we were living in Dallas that I’d have his mother attend childbirth classes with me and be my birth coach. Now that we are in Austin I asked Wendy. I was gifted with the opportunity to be one of her birth coaches two years ago when she gave birth to Avery. She’s worked with me to find dates that work so come September my best friend becomes my labor and delivery coach. She thinks I’m insane to want to do this naturally but we are such good friends because we do things differently. If they end up having to do a c-section I’m going to ask my mom to go in to the surgery with me because at that point I only get one person and I think I’ll want her hand to hold. I hope to have a labor room experience like Wendy’s with friends and family coming and going to keep me distracted as needed, focused as needed, and above all surrounded by love.
