work
Today I wore obviously maternity clothes and am going to tell the CEO what’s up. I’m nervous because it’s nerve wrecking to not 100% know that I’m still going to have a job after this conversation. Granted if they do decide they want me to find my replacement now I’ll just give Spherion a call about one of those contract recruiter jobs they keep contacting me about. Short term gigs making a ton of money… not a bad deal under the circumstances. But I fully expect they will keep me here until this fall. I’m going to purpose that I stay on and start to look for my replacement in September expecting to have the person on board in October. With twins being high risk and the numbers of women that get put on bedrest after 28 weeks with twins (I’ll be 28 weeks the first week of October) I think this is the only fair thing to do so that the company doesn’t end up in a lurch. They may even keep me around if I can continue to work. The CEO is a big time humanitarian and all around nice guy so I’m not expecting this to go badly.
